Crowns and Bridges

Dental Crowns
For patients with cracked, decayed, worn or broken teeth, we may recommend crowns to restore the function and structure of the tooth as well as improve their smile. The great thing about porcelain crowns is that they look just like your natural teeth because we can match their color to the color of your teeth. Additionally, we will make sure that the crown will fit and perform just like a healthy tooth.

Porcelain crowns are very durable, particularly if it’s performed by a skilled dentist. These restorations can protect your damaged tooth from further injury and boost its strength so it doesn’t deteriorate even more. Crowns are also used to cover dental implants and complete the root canal process.

Here at Digital Dentistry of Sarasota, we offer IPS.E-Max crowns and bridges which can be completed in just one visit. E-max crowns are great alternatives to porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns and they are created on-site using our state-of-the-art Cerec machine.

We will make your crown from one slab of lithium disilicate ceramic and it is completely metal-free. That means you won’t see any ugly gray lines in your gum line.

If you want crowns that look very much like your real teeth in terms of shape and color, an e-max crown is the answer.

Patients with missing tooth can get a replacement in the form of a dental bridge. It’s a restoration that attaches permanently to either dental implants or adjoining teeth. Bridges are a better alternative to dentures and they are considered necessary to keep your other teeth from shifting to the location of your missing teeth.

Our office uses the latest dental restoration technology which enables us to provide patients with bridges that are made from porcelain. Our bridges have no metal so you don’t have to deal with unsightly gray lines around your gum line.

With bridges, you can chew food properly, keep your teeth from shifting, maintain the proper shape of your face and significantly improve your smile.
